Rebecca West Fraser Solo Exhibition – April 27-29, 2012
Redux studio artist, Rebecca West Fraser will be exhibiting her first solo show, Continuous Crossings, at Christophe Artisan Chocolatier from April 27 though April 29. The opening reception will be on Friday, April 27, from 6-9pm. This will also be the first art show hosted at Christophe Artisan Chocolatier – it will be a night of firsts!
Focusing mainly on collage, drawing and painting as a means of travel through the imagination, Rebecca‘s work dives into the playful and bizarre juxtapositions of imagery and texture. Her large-scale paintings and collages utilize contrasting colors, shapes, and compositions to illustrate beautifully imagined alternate realities.
“I can create the places that I fantasize about,” Rebecca says. “I become the creator of a dream landscape mixed with humans, machinery, animals, and graphic designs.”
Her recent exhibitions include Under the Radar at the City Gallery at Waterfront Park and Best Friends at Rick Rhodes Studio.
