Redux has a great line-up of local bands to break-out the jam at The Revival. Rachel Kate Gillion, The V-Tones, Guam, Yes Yes Michael Ersing, and Forest Tourist are just to name a few. As part of the Countdown to Revival, we will start sharing some info about these bands. First up, Forest Tourist.
Last week, Forest Tourist told Redux that their new album is set to be released in late March or early April. The exact date is not yet known, so check their Facebook page for announcements. During the Revival they plan to play some of their tasty new songs. In the meantime, you can listen to their first EP on Facebook or their website.
Forest Tourist is now known for their balance of delicate songwriting contrasted with psychedelic sound. Forest Tourist began last summer as a collaboration between musicians Edward Burroughs and Marco Frey. With a mutual interest in recording, the two recorded FT’s self-titled EP in Marco’s bedroom last October. As the chaos went on, the Tourists adopted their close friends, Kyle Brown and Trey Cooper into the band.
